At a Q&A in London Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong opened up about his strong opinions on social media.

An argument that has existed since smart phones were invented, the Green Day singer encourages fans to put their phones away.

“Social media can be a very miserable place to be”- Armstrong said as reported by NME.

Commenting on their audience he said; “At our shows I see lots of people holding up cell phones. You can take your photo but let’s have eye contact, let’s have a human experience”.

The punk singer isn’t the first musician who has reacted to phones at shows.
