Hawthorn Defender Inks Two-Year Extension
The club has announced.
Hawthorn defender Kaiden Brand has signed a new two-year contract extension.
The young defender's new deal will tie him to the Hawks until the end of 2018, the club announced yesterday.
Brand made his debut in round seven this year and played 11 matches for the season.
Hawthorn recruiting and list manager Graham Wright said the club has been happy with how Brand has progressed.
"After struggling with a shoulder injury last season, Kaiden had a strong patch of AFL games this year," he said.
"We've been really happy with his progress and we think he could be a really important player for us long-term."
Fellow youngster Kade Stewart has also been rewarded, with the club committing to promote him onto the senior list for next season.
