Wallace Forced To Undergo Immediate Emergency Surgery After Off-Season Accident

It's been reported that Panthers hooker Peter Wallace has had surgery on his hands after a rock-finishing accident in the off-season.

According to 7 News Sydney, Wallace was swept off his feet by a wave and seriously sliced both of his hands open while on holidays in Queensland.

He was rushed for immediate emergency surgery, and won't return to pre-season training until late December.

After the announcement of the signing of Mitch Rein from the Dragons earlier in the week, this has quickly proven to be an astute signing.

While 2016 was a break-out season for Wallace, he is now one of the more senior players in the squad.
