The Kangaroos are a step closer to the Four Nations final in a fortnight's time after defeating the Kiwis 14 - 8 at Coventry's Ricoh Arena. Check out the highlights below.

Australia jumped to a 10 - 0 lead going into half time, with tries to Blake Ferguson and Johnathan Thurston.

However, the Kiwis were able to turn it around in the second half, piling on two tries to rake in Australia's lead.

JT also knocked over two penalties from in front, to give Australia more of a buffer.

Shaun Johnson thought he'd scored in the final seconds to cause what would have been a huge upset, but the video ref found that the ball hadn't been properly grounded.

Australia will play England next week, while New Zealand will meet Scotland in the final pool games of the tournament.

It's likely that the two sides will meet again in a fortnight's time for the Four Nations final, where the Kiwis will be looking to defend their #1 ranking.
