A-League Player Nearly Knocks Himself Out On A Table
Could have been ugly
Sydney FC defender Michael Zullo somehow escaped serious injury after slamming his head into a table that was beside the pitch in last night’s game against Melbourne Victory at Allianz Stadium.
Zullo was contesting for a header with Victory star Marco Rojas early in the second half when he was knocked off balance and tumbled into the fourth official’s bench which was sitting around two metres away from the touchline.
The fall could have been very ugly for Zullo, but fortunately he could carry on unharmed.
Sydney ended up winning the game 2-1, with David Carney’s brace cancelling out Mitch Austin’s first half strike.
