Alleged Tuggerah Train Groper Arrested

A man has been charged over alleged indecent assaults on the Sydney rail network.

About 12.50pm on Saturday May 12, a man boarded a train at Tuggerah Station, sitting next to a 23-year-old woman.

The man allegedly touched her leg and buttocks.

The woman walked away before reporting the incident to police after getting off at Hornsby Railway Station.

About 5pm on Friday June 1, police will allege the same man boarded a train at Macquarie Park Railway Station, sitting next to a 27-year-old woman.

The man allegedly touched her leg.

The woman walked away before reporting the incident to police after getting off at Chatswood Railway Station.

Following inquires, officers from Police Transport & Public Safety Command North Central sector arrested a 34-year-old man at Parramatta about 11.30am yesterday.

He was charged with two counts of assault with act of indecency and granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Monday July 16.

Operation Artemis is an ongoing operation with officers from the Police Transport Command targeting those who commit indecent or sexual offences on the public transport network.
