Roads and Maritime Services has been left red faced after discovering temporary line marking was incorrectly applied after recent resurfacing work on the Motorway Link Road at BLUE HAVEN.
Over the past couple of weeks, motorists turning right into Blue Haven Way have been forced to use a significantly shorter turning lane in what is a busy 100 kay zone.
RMS has advised it will repaint the temporary line marking as soon as possible to reinstate the correct 150 metre length.
Permanent line marking will be completed in the coming weeks.
Ironically, work has been underway to make the intersection safer following 2 recent fatals.
Update - Friday 2/6/17 RMS hasn't mucked around after this embarrassing mistake was highlighted....hastily 'fixing' the issue with a rough paint job.
