From Sunday night.

Changed Traffic Conditions On Two Stretches Of Pacific Highway

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next Monday on the Pacific Highway at Lake Munmorah for essential maintenance work.

Work will be carried out under Lake Munmorah Pedestrian Bridge and across the highway, involving joint maintenance to ensure continued and safe operation of the bridge.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, but on occasions the walkway may be temporarily obstructed and members of the project team will be onsite to provide safe pedestrian access.

To minimise impact to motorists, work will be carried out at night between 6pm and 4am from Monday to Thursday. It is expected work will be completed by Tuesday 24 April, weather permitting.

For the safety of workers and motorists during work hours, single lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place.

Meantime, there'll also be a slight change to the traffic through the construction zone on the Pacific Highway at Ourimbah from Sunday night.

New works will involve asphalting, line marking and relocating safety barriers.

One night of work will occur between Sunday 15 and Sunday 22 April. Working hours will be from 6pm to 5am, weather permitting.

Roads and Maritime Services will be moving all northbound and southbound traffic travelling between Glen Road and Cut Rock Creek to a new section of road on the western side.

Traffic in both directions on the Pacific Highway will be stopped intermittently for up to 15 minutes to allow work to be completed safely.

Work will continue on weekdays between 7am and 6pm and Saturdays between 8am and 1pm, excluding public holidays and weather permitting.

A 40 km/h speed limit continues to be in place throughout the Ourimbah to Lisarow project area.
