Chinese Theme Park Dead

Council terminates contracts

Chinese Theme Park Dead

Chappypie China Time is officially dead....at least at Warnervale.

Central Coast Council has revealed it last week terminated two contracts for the sale of two lots of land land to Australia China Theme Park Pty Ltd...pocketing the deposits on behalf of ratepayers.

In a statement today, Council revealed other potential sale or uses of the land will be a decision of the future elected council.

The then Wyong Council approved the 10 million dollar sale of 15.7 hectares in November 2012 for one of the biggest tourism projects ever proposed for NSW....worth half a billion dollars.

A watered down version worth 20.1 million dollars was then proposed last year, but the full payment for the land never came.

All we have left of it now are a $100k scale model temple that ended up stored at The Big Flower at Ourimbah earlier this year, and a video of what could have been.
