UPDATE 6:30AM: Fire crews have this morning returned to a home destroyed by flames in Terrigal, after it's flared up again.
Two trucks from Terrigal and Kincumber have been out at Wilson Road since 4:30am, and got the flames out again after about 90 minutes hosing down the front and inside of the structure.
Yesterday's inferno saw crews decontaminated for asbestos.
YESTERDAY: Firies are investigating what caused a blaze on Terrigal's Wilson Road this morning, across from the carpark, that's destroyed a single-storey house.
The fire started just before 10 and four crews took less than an hour to get it out and prevent it from spreading to other properties.
They've closed the road while salvaging and decontamination takes place - Inspector Mark Delves says firies have had to be contaminated for asbestos after the inferno spread through the roof.
It looks like no one's been injured. Inspector Delves says the property's a rental, and that the tenants left at 8 this morning. One of them has now returned.
While there are reports people nearby have rescued the owner's pets.
