UPDATE 8AM: Two men remain in Royal North Shore Hospital nursing significant burns this morning, following an explosion at a Unit in Point Frederick yesterday.

The Hospital says an 18 year old man is serious but stable with injuries to 70% of his body, while a 24 year old is stable and has burns to 30% of his body.

Both were airlifted after the explosion on Albany Street yesterday afternoon - with police still investigating the cause.

Two other people were injured in the blast, a 25 year old man and an eleven month old boy.

Both are stable in Gosford as of this morning. 

While NewsCorp reports one of the men injured is the baby's father.
