Man charged over Gosford plant thefts

A man has been charged after allegedly stealing plants outside two businesses in Gosford.

Police will allege in court that at about 5.30am last Sunday, a man stole two plants outside a business on Mann Street.

Later that day, the man allegedly stole four plants outside a charity store on Mann Street.

At 1.30pm today, officers attached to Brisbane Water Local Area Command arrested a 42-year-old man at a property in Beane Street.

Police seized six plants from the property.

The man was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with two counts of larceny and granted bail.

He is due to appear before Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 7 November 2017.
