AUSGRID crews are working flat out to get the power back on to around TWO thousand properties still blacked out across the Central Coast following last night's wild storms.
Local suburbs still affected include parts of BATEAU BAY, FORRIES, TUMBI, WAMBERAL, CENTRAL MANGROVE, MANGROVE MOUNTAIN, MANGROVE CREEK, PEATS RIDGE, KULNURA, SOMERSBY, NIAGARA PARK, MOONEY MOONEY, BAR POINT, CHEERO POINT, LEASKS CREEK and BROOKLYN.
Restoration times are laregly unavailable due to the complexity of repairs.
DAMAGE from the STORMS across NSW could run into the HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of dollars....while the SES is trying to get through a backlog of work after more than 200 callouts across the Gosford and Wyong depots alone.
Meantime, it's understood a man on a ladder suffered the effects of a nearby lightning strike at KINCUMBER....but didn't require transport to hospital.
2GO listeners reported hail the size of cricket balls in some suburbs, and car repairers are sure to be busy well into the new year.
