Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from tomorrow on Deep Creek Bridge on the M1 Pacific Motorway at Wyong for emergency maintenance work.

Work will carry out to repair a bridge joint to ensure continued and safe operation of the bridge.

To reduce the impact to motorists, work will carry out on Friday 9 March from 8pm to 7am weather permitting.

For the safety of motorists and workers, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for southbound traffic.

There will be a single lane closure on the southbound direction, and there will be no impact on the northbound direction.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the direction of signs and traffic control.

YESTERDAY: Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from this Sunday for essential maintenance work on the M1 Pacific Motorway around 1.8 kilometres north of the bridge over Hawkesbury River.

For the safety of motorists, work will involve stabilizing and maintaining the sandstone slope on the median of the motorway.

To minimise impact on motorists, work will be carried out at night from Sunday 11 March between 7pm and 5am, excluding Fridays and Saturdays. Work is expected to be completed by the end of March, weather permitting.

Lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place during work times for the safety of workers and motorists. Work will alternate between northbound and southbound carriageways throughout the project.

 

Also starting on Sunday night is a new round of work on Wyong Road between Tumbi Road and Mingara Drive.

 

This work will involve installing a median fence near Peach Avenue and the Tumbi Road intersection, road marking and road surface painting for bus lanes and cycle lanes.

 

To minimise the impact to motorists, work will be carried out between 6pm and 7am on Sunday 11 March, weather permitting.

 

For the safety of workers and motorists, lane closures will be in place during work hours which may affect travel times.
