Looks like the Coast has missed out on new project funding, as the federal budget's been handed down overnight
Dobell MP Emma McBride's unimpressed, also calling out a $33 million cut to schools cash for the Coast, and saying not enough's being done to boost TAFE in an area with an 18.6% youth unemployment rate.
"It's really disappointing in a region like ours, where we're seeing rapid population growth and where there's a backlog in infrastructure, (that there's) no new money," Ms McBride says.
"I'm particularly concerned we're being left behind on the Coast."
Millions in funding has been confirmed for projects previously announced, however, including the Regional Library and Regional Performing Arts Centre in Gosford.
Robertson MP Lucy Wicks has also welcomed the tax cuts for Coasties earning low and middle income salaries.
"In Robertson, nearly 60,000 taxpayers will receive a new offset of up to 530 dollars a year under our plan to reduce cost pressures," MS Wicks says.
"There's also good news for small business, with the $20,000 instant asset write off continuing for another year."
