The Mariners will welcome back the club's all-time leading goalscorer next A-League season, with Matt Simon inking a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old's returning after three years at Sydney FC, during which he was part of a side that won two premierships, a championship and an FFA Cup.
Simon also won the 2008 championship with the Mariners, and this will be his third stint at the club after 107 games and 41 goals.
“This is my hometown, all of my family are on the Central Coast, so that’s something that really excites me – I am really looking forward to the next couple of years ahead,” Simon said.
Meantime, SBS reports off-contract Terrigal Junior Lachlan Wales has signed with Melbourne City. Daniel de Silva's also been linked to the Victorian club.
Today's revelations are just some of several off-season movements at the Yellow and Navy in the past week.
The club announced yesterday Nineteen-year-old defender Kye Rowles and striker Connor Pain both recommitted for another year.
On Tuesday, it revealed Corey Gameiro is coming over from Brisbane Roar, also for a year.
While last Friday, Trent Buhagiar left to pursue other options (He's previously been linked to Sydney FC).
