A Sydney teenager remains behind bars this morning, accused of storming a string of Coast shops armed with a knife.
Police charged the 18-year-old from Curl Curl at Manly station overnight, after he allegedly held up two shops on Victoria Street in East Gosford Sunday evening.
About 6.30pm, police will allege a man, armed with a knife, entered a liquor store on Victoria Street, East Gosford.
He allegedly threatened an employee and demanded cash but was chased off with a broom.
An hour later, the man allegedly entered a supermarket on the same street, and jumped onto the checkout counter.
He allegedly threatened a male staff member with a knife and stole cash before fleeing the store.
No one was injured in either incident.
The teen's up against two counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon, to front Manly Court this morning.
