Three new GPs start at Umina

Three new GPs have begun work on the Central Coast, with a new surgery opening its doors at Umina Beach.

It comes two months after the start of a Turnbull Government initiative to overcome the local doctors shortage.

Robertson MP Lucy Wicks says it's a significant breakthrough for the community, and an important outcome for the Peninsula, an area that has experienced serious issues accessing GP services.

The focus in coming months, will be to attract even more family doctors to the area.
