Kenny Chesney smashed the attendance record at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on Saturday (August 11) when he played to 55,182 Barefoot Nation fans.
Chesney’s new record shattered that of One Direction who up until Saturday held the record they set in 2014 when they had 54,249 adoring, screaming fans take over the stadium.
Throughout his 2018 tour, Kenny has be breaking his own previously set records along the way, but he says there is something extra about getting the vibe he gets in Nashville.
"There’s a special energy that happens when you’re home," he says in a statement. "This one’s for the people who know you, your team, where these songs come from. When they sing the chorus of 'American Kids,' you can feel they know that song in a whole other way – and it’s incredible to hear that much passion and energy coming at the stage.”
We’re pretty sure he would receive the same passion and energy from Australian audiences - so please get yourself down here Mr Chesney!
