The sale of the Bruce Bishop Car Park will go ahead thanks a decision in the Supreme Court yesterday.
It's after the Save Surfers Paradise group launched a bid to block the $48 million sale of the site in late January, claiming drivers will lose vital parking in the CBD.
Gold Coast City Council CEO Dale Dickson hopes to finalise the sale by the end of the month, with the money to go towards a new art gallery and green bridge.
"The decision was an important one because it clears the way and ensures that we can now progress the matter," he said.
"And ultimately in the next two years construct a world-class regional art gallery for the benefit of all the residents of the city."
The group has revealed it plans to appeal yesterday's decision.
