A Molendinar woman has saved her neighbour's life, after pulling him from his burning unit on Coachwood Dr.
The home went up in flames on Sunday afternoon, shortly after midday.
Kylie Bond noticed the smoke and ran to help.
"I was gonna smash the window and jump through but I could see that the fire was all the way through the lounge room and the hallway," she said.
"I grabbed him and ripped him out to safety, he was all burned".
The 42-year-old resident was taken to hospital with burns to his face and smoke inhalation, while fire crews rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze.
They put it out before it could spread to neighbouring units, but the structure suffered extensive damage.
Detectives are now looking into the cause of the fire but were treating it as suspicious.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on Sunday is urged to contact police.
