After six years of fighting over the approval process, Adani has confirmed the green light has been given to the Carmichael mega mine in Central Queensland.

Adani CEO Gautam Adani has promised the 16 billion dollar mine project will generate 10,000 jobs (direct and indirect).
Pre-construction work is set to begin in September this year.
“We have been challenged by activists in the courts, in inner city streets, and even outside banks that have not even been approached to finance the project."
“We are still facing activists. But we are committed to this project."
