Revenge Porn At All-Time High

Men Just As Likely To Fall Victim

Revenge Porn At All-Time High

Ever shared a pic of your junk?
Well... it could come back to bite you.

Revenge porn is at all-time high in Australia, with cases doubling in the last two years.
It's affecting almost one in five of us, and surprisingly men are just as likely to fall victim, RMIT research has found.

More of us are becoming victims of humiliating online image abuse, with young Australians aged between 16 and 19 the most affected.

You may want to think twice before trusting someone with a personal picture in the future...

In most case the culprits were known to the victims. Friends, family members and jilted ex-lovers are more likely to spread revenge porn.

One in 10 people targeted, had never even shared a naked photo.

Sharing an intimate picture of someone without permission can be a criminal offence and revenge porn comes with some serious penalties.

In Victoria you're looking at two years jail time and in South Australia you can face a $10,000 fine or two years in jail.
