Known to all Brisbanites as Suncorp the popular sporting venue is being called Brisbane Stadium just for the night, due to rules and regulations.
The Asian Football Confederation, which is the governing body of the Asian Champions League, requires all teams to play in a 'neutral venue'
Roar is chasing their first win in the ACL at the two-named facility with coach John Aloisi announcing it'll be an 'all or nothing performance' by the club.
An excerpt from the Asian Football Confederation competition regulations:
Clean Stadium A Stadium or Official Training Site whether inside, in the air space above or the outer perimeter, delivered to the AFC at a prescribed time, that is free from:
(i) any advertising and commercial signage of any kind, whether on any stadium infrastructure, staff uniforms, accreditations, fences, equipment or elsewhere;
(ii) third party agreements relating to the use and operation of the Stadium (or part thereof) and/or
(iii) stadium or venue naming rights.
