Malcolm 'Big Mal' Turnbull has explained he spent a lot of last night "in the foetal position" but has challenged Peter Dutton on the leadership.
BIG MAL REACTS:
Big Mal joined Kennedy Molloy in the wake of the news surrounding his leadership, with Peter Dutton launching one unsuccessful leadership challenge and preparing to launch another.
"My current position is foetal," the PM explained.
"Last night, I was in the foetal position, sucking my fist. I was rocking in the corner for a while, and then I started jumping up and down. I went manic, screaming don't take it off me, don't take it off me."
However, Big Mal challenged Dutton about whether he was the right man to lead.
"Really and truly, do the Australian people want a root vegetable as their Prime Minister?" he asked.
"Peter Dutton will be flayed and made to look like the goose that he is."
But if he loses the leadership, he's not sticking around.
"I'm not going to hang around like Tony Abbott drawing dicks on the back bench," he said.
