Peninsula Link Day returns

27th September.

Peninsula Link Day returns Coast Community Connections

Working with local community organisations, Coast Community Connections is pleased to again be hosting the free annual event, Peninsula Link Day on Wednesday 27 September, which will connect families and locals with community and support services available on the Central Coast.

To be held at the Peninsula Community Centre, Peninsula Link Day is an initiative of The Peninsula Interagency Group, a group of representatives from many community and charitable organisations and government agencies.

This year’s Peninsula Link Day will follow on from the success of the last six annual events and will offer locals with the chance to access advice and information from a range of more than 50 organisations.

Emma Gilby, Coast Community Connections’ General Manager of Families & Community said, “Peninsula Link Day has become a hugely valuable event on the Coast Community Connections’ calendar and we are again holding the event during the school holidays with free family entertainment including a jumping castle, face painting, balloon sculpting, the Big Yellow Bus, Rugby League fun and local entertainment,” said Emma.

“Peninsula Link Day offers locals and families the opportunity to gain resources and information about a range of services including youth, ageing and disability, health and wellbeing, education, employment and training, government, housing, families, carers and support services.

“Connections made at Peninsula Link Day can mean the world of difference to those families and locals in need, who may be new to the area or those who simply seek information on available services,” added Emma.

The September event will be attended by more than 50 local service providers who will be located in information booths for attendees to visit. Services available on the day will also include free health and dental checks, birth certificates, clothing giveaways and bills advice from Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW and St Vincent de Paul Society.

“The event committee want this year to be a free fun day of information, advice and entertainment, all in the one place and for everyone to enjoy,” concluded Mrs Gilby.

Entry and all activities at the event are free.

The Peninsula Link Day will be held on Wednesday 27 September from 10am to 2pm at the Peninsula Community Centre, 93 McMasters Road Woy Woy.
