Don’t miss the Old Bar Beach festival happening over the long weekend with live entertainment and so much more!
Just two hours north of Newcastle, Old Bar has been a holiday destination for decades. This October Long Weekend the sleepy little town comes to life with the Old Bar Beach Festival.
The Old Bar Beach Festival is an annual community event that has been held every October Long Weekend since 2005. From the humblest of beginnings, the festival has grown to attract more than 30,000 people each year.
The festival now boasts an impressive range of regular features:
- Kombi Display, Parade, and Record Attempt
- Old Bar Classic
- Two full days of live music
- Fireworks Display
- Amusement Rides
- Children’s Entertainment
- Street-Food vendors
The Kombi/Transporter Australian record attempt is one of the major highlights of the festival. The number of Kombis attending the festival has steadily increased over the last 13 years due to the support of many owners who now have made the festival an annual pilgrimage.
For Kombi owners this festival is a place to meet and share their passion for their beloved buses with like-minded Kombi enthusiasts in a relaxed and festive atmosphere suited for the whole family.
